The beauty, glamour and regal elegance of the Victorian Hawaiian Monarchy period is re-created as your formal banquet decor.  Your guests become the guests of King Kalakaua as you re-live one of the splendid banquets of the Merrie Monarch.Your guests will stroll down a red carpet runner leading to the entrance of the Palace grounds.  They enter the Palace grounds through the Royal Iolani bandstand.  Behind the bandstand is a painted mural of the Royal Palace.A gala evening awaits you inside the ballroom.  Suspended from the ceiling in the center is a large Hawaiian crown with elegant swags suspended to the corners of the room. At one end of the ballroom is the throne room setting.  The background is a portrait wall of the Kings and Queens of Old Hawaii.  On either side of the throne are kahilis which indicate the presence of royalty. The entertainment stage, backed with red velour draping, is at the other end of the ballroom.  A semi-circular white gazebo holds a place of prominence on the stage. Fronting the stage are functioning fountains and white balustrades.

Completing the picture is a series of white lattice panels around the perimeter of the ballroom.
